One of the most challenging aspects of Wildlife Photography is getting close enough to your subjects. This time I really got lucky. We were having lunch beside a mountain river when I noticed several Grey Wagtails flying too close. They did not seem disturbed by our presence. Next thing I was on the river bank with my equipment ready. As I expected, the wagtails completely ignored my presence even though I was not trying to hide. They perched on the river rocks proudly displaying their catch. This was exactly what I needed.Subject: Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)
